A combination of high winds and high tides has caused flooding along sections of Beach Road. High tide in Vineyard Haven occurred about 11 am. The next high tide will occur about 11:30 pm.

Beach Road has reopened from the Triangle in Edgartown to the Hart Haven section of Oak Bluffs. It was closed earlier due to washover and flooding.

Beach Road, closed earlier from Five Corners in Vineyard Haven to New York Avenue and Eastville, has reopened. There are large puddles in front of The Times office, and Martha’s Vineyard Shipyard.

Dock Street in Edgartown is also closed due to flooding. High tide in Edgartown will occur about 11:30 am.

Despite the water and conditions, some drivers continue to ignore the warnings to slow down and drive cautiously, public safety officials said.
