“Inventive Islanders,” the latest exhibit at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum, opens Friday, Feb. 12 at 4 pm at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum library in Edgartown. The exhibit features innovations by “eccentric tinkerers, basement experimenters, ingenious artists, ambitious dreamers, and even corporate engineers,” including details about an android patented on Martha’s Vineyard in 1883. Admission is free for members, $8 for nonmembers. The exhibit will be on display through Memorial Day. For more information, visit mvmuseum.org.
