To the Editor:
ACE MV wants to thank Jillian Buning for her thoughtful letter of Feb.11 (“Making good spelling her business”), and hopes that she made it past our catalogue cover and discovered the 29 course offerings for Islanders, ranging from graduate credit and construction supervisor’s license prep, to QuickBooks and cake decorating. Unfortunately, simple spelling mistakes occur, like the time we printed “Harverd,” or when a catalog went into production with the wrong year. Alas, as a small community-education nonprofit, we continually strive to improve our performance and build a hub for learning that makes our Island proud.
