Dinner and a movie getting old? How about dinner and a comedy show? This Friday, March 4, the Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown will host a comedy night with a prix-fixe dinner. Guests can purchase tickets for dinner and a show, or just the show.
Dinner will begin at 7 pm. Menu items include Baby Kale Salad, Henry’s Famous Fried Chicken, and the Harbor View Hotel’s Signature Chocolate Chip Cookies.
At 9 pm, the show begins. Performers include Myq Kaplan, Steve Bjork, and Tim McIntire.
Mr. Kaplan, a “Last Comic Standing” finalist, has appeared on the “Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,” the “Late Show with David Letterman,” and “Comedy Central Presents.” He is known for his podcast, “Hang Out With Me,” on the Keith and The Girl network, his Netflix special “Small Dork and Handsome,” and his debut CD, “Vegan Mind Meld,” which was one of iTunes’ top 10 best-selling comedy albums in 2010.
Boston-based comedian Mr. Bjork has toured nightclubs, colleges, and corporate events around the country, performing with Dane Cook, Steven Wright, Dom Irrera, Dave Chappelle, Joe Rogan, Dana Gould, and Tommy Chong.
Mr. McIntire, another commodity of the Boston comedy scene, has hosted the Boston Music Awards, written for Nickelodeon, released two comedy albums, and been featured on NPR. He is also known for his work on the shows “Thursday Night Fights,” “Geek Council,” and “Comcast Comedy Spotlight.”
Seating is open on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are $25 for the comedy show only, and $55 per person for the comedy show and dinner (including taxes and gratuity).
