Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites and Sea Spa Salon in Edgartown will host two and four-day wellness programs from March 31 to April 3. According to a press release, the retreat includes guided meditation, yoga, and outdoor hikes as well as three daily meals of superfoods, organic juices, fresh smoothies, and soups and salads, many made with local, fresh ingredients. There will also be cooking demonstrations and nutritional talks.
Daily schedules will include a morning meditation followed by a walk to a local landmark such as the Edgartown Lighthouse or South Beach. Evening programs will consist of discussions, films, musical movements, and meditations.
“Our hope with this retreat is to allow guests to experience the Vineyard during the off- season, in a way that they wouldn’t normally. Many people come here during the busy season and never actually have the chance to relax and take time for themselves,” explains Wesley Doyle, general manager of Vineyard Square Hotel & Suites.
The retreats will be led by Rebecca Briggs, a Martha’s Vineyard resident, certified yoga instructor, nutritionist, and lead massage therapist at Sea Spa Salon.
