On Wednesday evening, April 20, the Martha’s Vineyard Museum hosted an Art Bar featuring a special guest instructor, artist Kenneth Vincent. Katy Fuller, the marketing, membership, and events manager of museum, was there to host and assist in the class setup.
The event came to life at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum’s Morgan Learning Center in the Mayhew Schoolhouse in Vineyard Haven. The program was well attended, and the enthusiasm and energy were high.
Students brought their own beverages to sip while they socialized and created. All supplies — paint, brushes, and canvases — were provided by the museum.
The project at hand was an acrylic painting of the iconic Aquinnah Cliffs. There were many interpretations, and inspiration was piqued as many students circulated through the classroom to see other works. Much talent was evident, inspired by the teachings of Mr. Vincent.
Kenneth Vincent’s works can be seen at the Granary Gallery in West Tisbury. Watch for the Martha’s Vineyard Museum’s upcoming Art Bar on May 18. For more information, visit mvmuseum.org.
