Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club executive director Peter Lambos, who just accepted an offer to become new general manager of the Martha’s Vineyard Ice Arena, has worked out an agreement with boards from both organizations, and will be able to serve both through the end of the summer.
Mr. Lambos said in a letter emailed to parents and friends of the club, “It’s been an absolute pleasure serving the community in my role at the Club, and I’m looking forward to spending this last great summer with the kids and staff.” Mr. Lambos also noted that the Boys & Girls Club has been an integral part of his life for the past 30 years, since he first came on board as a member himself.
The club’s board of directors has begun a search for a new executive director, and Mr. Lambos plans to work alongside the new hire to assure a smooth transition.
