In an event sponsored by the Tisbury Shellfish Department, more than 70 people turned up Saturday at Lagoon Pond near Wind’s Up to learn the skills necessary to rake clams and distinguish a littleneck from a cherrystone from a quahog. Tisbury shellfish constable Danielle Ewart said it was a lot of fun, and the kids and adults had a great time.
It was such a success that future events are expected, she said.
