African American Literature and Culture Festival comes to the O.B. library

The Oak Bluffs Public Library will present the first annual African American Literature and Culture Festival this weekend. The three-day event is a celebration of the town’s rich traditions in the African American cultural landscape. Starting on Thursday, August 4, guests can get acquainted with artists, authors, scholars, and poets as they present their work at the library, highlighting the people and ideas that make up this town’s unique community. The event features New York Times bestselling author Alice Randall, Brooklyn-based dance visionary Reggie Wilson, and food and foodways expert Jessica Harris.
