Newman’s Own Foundation announced that Jennifer Smith Turner of Edgartown has been elected to the board of directors of Newman’s Own Foundation. According to a press release, Ms. Turner is president and CEO of Smith & Associates LLC, a company that specializes in assisting organizations to achieve their strategic and operational potential. She is also the retired CEO of the Girl Scouts of Connecticut, where she served as the first CEO of the combined organization of five Girl Scout councils that merged in 2007.
Ms. Turner has a deep and diverse background in business, government, academia, and civic involvement.
