If you have a passion for helping others, you might want to look into becoming an emergency medical technician (EMT). According to a press release, there will be an EMT Open House on Dec. 3, from 9 am until 3 pm at the Oak Bluffs Fire and EMS Station. Representatives from other Island EMS departments will be on hand to answer questions and educate the attendees on the rewarding profession of being an EMT.
