Vicky and Armen Hanjian received the 19th annual Spirit of the Vineyard Award from Vineyard Village at Home at a ceremony on Monday, Dec. 12, at the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center. According to a press release, the award recognizes those who have done volunteer work, making a positive impact on the Island community, as the Hanjians have done with many organizations for more than 20 years, helping Islanders with housing, food, transportation and spiritual guidance. The Hanjians’ names are inscribed on a plaque that hangs in the new Ag Hall, honoring volunteers who have worked for many different organizations on the Island, enriching the lives of us all.
