Come to the Larder in Vineyard Haven to kick off the Agricultural Society’s Meat Ball weekend with a workshop on deboning fowl with Jefferson Munroe on Thursday, March 2, at 5 pm. The class costs $5 per person. Events continue on Saturday, March 4, at the Ag Hall, where there will be workshops including “One Chicken, Many Meals” at 11 am with Robert Booz; “Lamb Cutting” with Brian Athearn at 1 pm; “Woodfire Cooking” with Tim Laursen of Local Smoke at 2 pm, and a “Pâte Primer” at 4 pm with Chris Kajsas. Each Saturday workshop is $15, and space is limited. Dinner will be served from 6:30 to 8 pm, followed by dancing to music by the Space Invaders until 10 pm.
