Seeking a community art huddle this winter? Island artist Elizabeth Whelan hosts a free evening of drawing and painting at the Chappy Community Center this Thursday, Jan. 11, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Bring your own art supplies. Each session Ms. Whelan will set up two different still life arrangements — one simple and one complex.
