To the Editor:
I would like to thank all the veterans and their families who showed up last night for National Vietnam Veterans Day. We had a dinner for veterans and their families, and recognized everyone who served between Nov. 1, 1955, and May 15, 1975. American Legion Post 257 did this as a commemorative partner with the U.S.A. Vietnam War Commemoration.
Pins and certificates were given to veterans who were in Vietnam, but all who served were recognized. A special thank-you to Jim Bishop and Richard Shephard, who put on a fabulous dinner. Our guest speaker, Professor Bob Sparks from Northeastern University, spoke about the history of Vietnam and the war. Thank you again to all our Vietnam and Vietnam-era veterans who served their country and their families.
