Looking to get rid of some old electronics? The Martha’s Vineyard Community Services can help.
The MVCS will hold its biannual Electronics Disposal Day on Saturday, June 2, from 9 am to 2 pm at its campus at 111 Edgartown–Vineyard Haven Road in Oak Bluffs. It had been scheduled for Saturday, May 19, but was postponed because of the weather forecast predicting rain.
Recyclable electronics include air conditioners, cell phones, computers, copiers, dehumidifiers, fax machines, microwaves, monitors, laptops, printers, refrigerators, scanners, stereo equipment, televisions, washers, dryers, scrap metal, and more.
Recycling fees range from $2 to $30 per item. A 10 percent discount will be given for full car loads. The environmentally friendly off-Island disposal will benefit the programs and services of MVCS.
Updated to change date to June 2 due to weather forecast.
