According to an alert sent out by the Town of Edgartown, a prescribed burn is planned Tuesday at Vineyard Golf Club at around 11 am. “Please do not be alarmed by smoke in that area,” the alert states.
On Monday, a similar burn was held at Katama Airfield.
There are fire crews and equipment in place managing the prescribed burns.
