To the Editor:
Chappaquiddick residents, beware! Thailand just closed down the island where the movie “The Beach,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, was filmed in 1999 because of environmental damage. Kho Phi Phi island was getting 200 boats, with 4,000 tourists a day. So residents of Chappy, you may be thinking it can’t happen here … don’t bet on it.
