Vineyard girls tennis stays unbeaten with win at Stang

The Vineyard varsity girls tennis team remain unbeaten after a 5-0 win at Bishop Stang, in an Eastern Athletic Conference match Friday afternoon in North Dartmouth.

First singles Kelly Klaren rolled past Sailor Nordstrom, 6-1, 6-0, Victoria Scott defeated Amanda Vasconcelos at second singles, 6-1, 6-2, and Hannah Rabasca topped Dina Habboosh at third singles, 6-0, 6-0.

The first doubles team of Kat Roberts and Lizzie Williamson blanked Sophie Lynch and Caroline Downes, 6-0, 6-0. Second doubles Molly Pogue and Alex Rego closed out the day with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Emily Pajak and Kassie Stone.

The Vineyarders (5-0) host Division One Barnstable on Monday at 3 pm.
