Songs of Peace kids event

Dance, sing along, and experience traditional music from cultures across the world on Monday, July 23, at 4:30 pm at the West Tisbury library with Sagit Zilberman. She’ll perform and facilitate “Songs of Peace,” an interactive global music program for kids and families. This program will introduce children to instruments such as the didgeridoo, Spacedrum, recorder, and saxophone. Participants will be encouraged to use their voices and body to dance and sing in harmony. This event is free and open to the public.

Sagit Zilberman is an internationally acclaimed musician and meditation and yoga instructor. Originally from Israel, and residing in the U.S. for the past 10 years, she allows her cultural roots to mix with her audience’s favorite songs. Sagit received a bachelor of music from Berklee College of Music, and currently leads a variety of workshops of healing vibrations of music and guided meditation.Sagit sees music and cultural heritage as tools for mindfulness and encouraging unity.
