The sound of music echoed through the Oak Bluffs School Wednesday morning as a group of students played alongside the Quartet San Francisco.
The Swedish Fish Strings, a group of local stringed-instrument students from the Oak Bluffs School and the Vineyard Montessori School, performed a quintet performance of John Legend’s “All of Me” with the Quartet San Francisco, a Grammy-nominated quartet that is on the Island all week as performers in residence with the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society.
Strings teacher at the Oak Bluffs School Rebecca Laird told The Times in an email there was a lot of excitement among the students ahead of the concert. “The kids are very excited to be performing their song with such talented and fun musicians playing with them,” Laird said.
