The Steamship Authority board is holding its monthly meeting Wednesday at 10 am at the SSA’s new administration building in Falmouth. Among the topics on the agenda is the new terminal building proposed for Woods Hole.

The design of the building received significant pushback at meetings last month. A petition drive is now up to 400 signatures asking the Steamship Authority to reconsider the design, which has been described as looking like a “ski lodge” and criticized for its size.

According to an email from Nathaniel Trumbull, the group organizing the petition drive intends to present the petition, as well as the comments that have been submitted, at the board’s meeting on Wednesday.

SSA spokesman Sean Driscoll wrote in an email that he expects general manager Robert Davis “will review our conversations to date with community representatives and efforts planned in the near future to address the concerns that have been brought up.”
