The MV Iyanough, which was out of service for about two weeks, returned to service between Hyannis and Nantucket Friday, according to Steamship Authority spokesman Sean Driscoll.

The Iyanough made its first trip starting with the 8:15 am departure from Hyannis Friday, he wrote in an email. “The vessel performed as expected on sea trials following the repairs to the two rebuilt engines, and it left Fairhaven early this morning to make its first scheduled round-trip,” Driscoll wrote. “The Steamship Authority would like to thank its customers for their patience during this time.”
