On Monday, July 15, from 7 to 8:15 pm, join Jim Harvey of LetGoYourMind in the children’s room of the West Tisbury library and learn how to make a motorized top spinner with Legos.
According to a press release, this program is for ages 8-12 (children under 10 must be accompanied by a mature caregiver), and is free and open to the public. Preregistration is required; please sign up in the Children’s Room or call 508-693-3366.
LetGoYourMind offers fun and enriching programs using Legos in the areas of simple machines and robotics. The programs focus on the vital STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering, and math), and challenge kids to think creatively, problem-solve, work as part of a team, and reinforce skill sets while having fun.
This program is part of “Science Is Everywhere,” a STEM-focused event series at the West Tisbury library created for children, tweens, and teens. For more information about this series and a complete list of “Science Is Everywhere” programs, please contact young adult librarian Laura Hearn at the West Tisbury library.
