Beginning Sept. 16, Cape Air will expand year-round service for flights from Martha’s Vineyard, Hyannis, and Nantucket to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to grow our New York City service, while offering even more options for the Cape and Islands to reach hundreds of additional destination markets,” Linda Markham, president of Cape Air, said in a press release. “Our initial JFK service proved to be a valuable way for our Island communities to easily access metropolitan New York during off-peak season, but the demand for more was there. We look forward to expanding our connections and making it even easier for passengers to access the national system year-round.”
Cape Air flights land in New York City at Terminal 5, which allows for easy connections for domestic and international flights.
“The Martha’s Vineyard Airport Commission is pleased with this announcement, and the worldwide connectivity that the expanded JFK service will provide for our community,” Cindi Martin, director of Martha’s Vineyard Airport, said in the release.
