Learn about mammals with Felix Neck

On Tuesday, August 20, at 10:30 am, the West Tisbury library will present Ryan Ofsthun of Felix Neck speaking about mammals. According to a press release, you might know what makes a mammal a mammal, but have you really looked at a skunk up-close before? Or into the mouth of a seal? Get up-close and personal with different Island mammals through specimens, photos, and fun information.

Ryan Ofsthun is the preschool director of the newly created Fern & Feather Preschool at Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary. With over a decade of experience teaching in preschools both here in New England and in Texas, and a deeply rooted love of our natural world, Ofsthun joins us to share in the exploration of the wonders that can be found in and around our beautiful Island.

This program is open to all ages. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a mature caregiver. This event is free and open to the public.
