On Sunday, Jan. 26, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, join Sarah Vail to help finish making dresses for the nonprofit organization Hope 4 Women International at the West Tisbury library. According to a press release, the Hope 4 Women’s “Dress a Girl Around the World” campaign aims to help girls in need by “putting a dress on every girl to keep her safe from predators.” At this gathering, the group will be finishing and embellishing dresses that are partly made. Please bring a sewing machine, threads, bias tape, small bits of fabric for pockets, lace and trims, and imagination. Don’t know how to sew, or don’t have these materials? All are welcome to help cut out fabric and clip threads. Stop in for a little while, or stay the whole time. Refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.
