The West Tisbury library has been chosen for a 2019 Special Recognition Award for its accomplishments as a passport acceptance facility by the U.S. Department of State. According to a press release, the award letter states, “we received numerous nominations and your facility clearly stood out as the exception by our National Awards Committee. The Department of State sincerely appreciates your facility’s commitment to providing quality passport acceptance services to our mutual customers.” Passport Acceptance Facility Manager Beth Kramer will be receiving the award in-person at the National Awards Ceremony for Passport Acceptance Agents and Facilities held in February in Washington, DC.
