  1. Peter was a wonderful friend and town treasure. I’m so sorry to hear this and my heart goes out to Priscilla.

  2. The Town ran like a well oiled machine under his guidance and Edgartown was lucky to have him. Only fitting that the town hall has his name on it.

  3. Peter was the Best of All People. A wonderful guy and friend to so many.
The Edgartown Administrator – he knew everything about the Town and everyone was grateful for his service. I worked with him putting together the Annual Report and the Advisory Report for at least 20 years; from typesetting it all and then along came the computer and reports were sent to me in Word format – saved so much time. Peter, I will always remember you as a great friend and business person. To Priscilla and all of Peter’s children and family go my deepest sympathy. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love – Cindy daRosa Barrett

  4. My late husband, John Alley, always was thankful to Peter for his knowledge and experience with town government. A sad loss for all of us, especially his family. A great, quiet, humble, thoughtful man is lost. RIP

  5. We have lost a true inspiration to all who knew him! The angels I’m sure already have him moderating their meetings. To his family, while we are all joining you in mourning, we all, in differing ways, are rejoicing in the blessing of how our lives were so much better due to his presence in our community.

  6. A wonderful man, a great father to our 4 children, he will be sorely missed. We loved him so much. Rest In Peace dear Pete.
