MVRHS teams gear up for playoffs

Another year, another postseason of playoff games for the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School spring sports teams.

Boys tennis secured a first round bye with the top seed in Division III south. The team closed out the regular season with an undefeated 10-0 record after toppling Nantucket at home Monday. The time and date of their first game will be announced at a later date.

The girls tennis team also closed out their season undefeated at 12-0 with a win over Nantucket on Friday. The Vineyard takes the fourth seed in the Division II south. They will play against Nauset on Friday at home between 4 pm and 5:30 pm. 

The Vineyarders baseball team got the 16 seed in the Division III south and will host the 17 seed Dover-Sherborn on Friday at 4 pm. The boys shutout Nantucket 3-0 Tuesday.

Boys lacrosse got the 14 seed in the division III south tournament and will play away at the 3 seed Old Rochester. The game is Friday, at 4 pm.
