Letters to the Editor

Come on, Comcast

Thank you Pam Dolby, Jennifer Rand, Edgartown selectmen, and all the other Island town officials that are pushing Comcast to provide service to Chappaquiddick.

Keeping you unaware

The editors and publishers of the Vineyard Gazette and The Martha's Vineyard Times are sure to let us all know of the annual New England Press Association awards for excellence in journalism won in various categories, save one that is.

Daily love

Thank you family and friends for prayers, cards, visits and food.

Generosity and kindness

Once again I am overwhelmed and humbled by the acts of kindness that recently occurred.

Farmer supports beer and wine sales

As a resident and farmer of West Tisbury, I am writing to show my support of the town of West Tisbury's warrant to allow beer and wine sales in restaurants seating 50 or more guests.

Benefits for all, including employees

By way of introduction, we have worked at State Road since it opened and, before that, some of us worked with Mary and Jackson Kenworth at their restaurants in Oak Bluffs.

Thanks to all

I thank everyone who came to the "Celebrating the Art of Stan Murphy" slide show on Sunday, April 1, and made the program a success.

Not the right word

I always enjoy reading the town columns each week and finding out all the news around the Island.

And you will be missed

There was a kindness to her smile and sweetness to her face and a softness to her tone of speech and a twinkle in her eye.

Why not stop lights?

I have just returned from a vacation in the U.

How’s that scow schooner coming along?

I'm a 73-year-old ferry master/tug and barge skipper that's been on and off the water many times during life.

Faith in you restored

I have stopped watching the news because it is so depressing, but once again a Vineyarder — I don't know why I'm surprised — has restored my faith in humanity.
