This production of the Hobbit is a culmination of months of work by a talented group of Martha’s Vineyard teens who have been selected to represent our Island at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland this August. Audiences will discover handcrafted costumes inspired by medieval embroidery, shadow storytelling created with a quilted stage curtain, stained-glass-inspired umbrellas and scrolls, puppetry, and six remarkable young actors who bring dozens of characters to life—all set to an energetic soundtrack of ’80s music.
