At the Edgartown Bridge Club on Monday, June 1, nine tables competed. Finishing first North- South were Sue Collinson and Bea Phear, followed by Gerry Averill and Ken Judson in second, Barbara Silk and Dave Donald in third, and Judy Cronig and Molly Mattoon in fourth. Finishing first in the East-West direction were Andy Jacknain and John O’Keefe, followed by Carol Whitmarsh and Sari Lipkin in second, Anita Persson and Ency Fokos in third, and Joe Ashcroft and Mollie Whalen in fourth. The Edgartown Bridge Club is now holding its Monday-afternoon games at the Tisbury Senior Center. Game time is 1 pm.
At the Martha’s Vineyard Bridge Club on Tuesday, June 2, 14 pairs competed. Overall winners were Miles Jaffe and Jim Kaplan in first, followed by Gerry Averill and Anita Persson in second, Sari Lipkin and Carol Whitmarsh in third, Michel Riel and Dave Donald in fourth, and Sue Collinson and Joan Perrine in fifth.
At the Island Bridge Club in West Tisbury on Thursday, June 4, seven tables were in play. Finishing in first place in the North-South direction were Barbara Besse and Miles Jaffe, followed by Gail Farrish and Warren Morse in second, and Stan Kissel and Sunny Brownrout in third. In the East-West direction Mollie Whalen and Joe Ashcroft finished first, followed by Sari Lipkin and Carol Whitmarsh in second, and Brooks Robards and Rich Peia in third.
