The Rotary Club of Martha’s Vineyard and Martha’s Vineyard Community Services (MVCS) invite golfers to participate in the first Vineyard Charity Golf Classic, to be held on Monday, Sept. 28, at the private Vineyard Golf Club in Edgartown.

The tournament features a Hole-in-One contest prize of a 2016 Toyota Highlander car from Falmouth Toyota and a Boston-sports-themed raffle package. Other unique prizes will be given for longest drive, putting contest, and closest to the pin contests.

Proceeds from the Golf Classic will benefit MVCS and a variety of nonprofits on Martha’s Vineyard supported by the Rotary, according to a press release.

MVCS programs include early-childhood programs, assistance for the disabled, counseling for mental health and addiction recovery, assistance for victims of domestic violence, and the Island Wide Youth Collaborative, in which MVCS and other organizations provide a continuum of mental health and addiction treatment for adolescents.

Registration begins at 7 am, and teams tee off at 9 am. The entry fee is $250 per golfer, and includes 18 holes of golf, breakfast and lunch prepared by the Vineyard Golf Club, contests with prizes, and goodie-bag giveaways. Registration and sponsorship opportunities for the tournament are available at mvcommunityservices.com/vcgc.
