At the seventh Electronics Disposal Day, held at M. V. Community Services on Saturday, the demand was greater than ever among Islanders who were anxious to part with tired, obsolete, or just plain slow electronic gear. Vehicles were lined up half an hour ahead of the scheduled 9 am starting time, and there was no let-up until the end, at 2 pm. Three over-sized trailer dumpsters were filled during the day, and between $3,500 and $4,000 raised for Community Services.
