Students in grades five through eight performed in the West Tisbury School’s production “Once on This Island, Jr.,” last weekend. Following the performances on Friday and Saturday evenings were receptions to raise funds for Haiti, live music by Hudson Bausman, and a video presentation. The school production, directed by BeeBee Horowitz with musical direction by Melanie Sroka-Chaunce, was based on the novel “My Love, My Love” by Rosa Guy. Parents, students, and volunteers helped with the sound, lighting, costumes, and choreography. The W.T. seventh grade class was in charge of the posters and programs.
