A boost for Brenda
It was no surprise, really, that over 200 people jammed the P-A club last Friday night to support Brenda Lehman of Oak Bluffs in her fight against breast cancer.
After all, Ms. Lehman has been involved with so many community organizations and activities in her 25 years on the Island: softball coach, foster mother, girl scout leader, big sister, to name a few, and volunteer extroadinaire.
Organizers Debbie Rogers and Barbara Phillips were thrilled with the turnout and impressed by the amount of money raised. Those who were unable to attend can send a check (with Brenda Lehman on the memo line) to You’ve Got a Friend, P.O. Box 1317, West Tisbury, MA 02575.
