Alison Smith, 29, of Boston and formerly of Edgartown died suddenly on Sunday, May 9, at Tufts Medical Center.She was the daughter of Gary J. and Beth (Maisano) Smith of Edgartown and the sister of Meredith Smith. She was the granddaughter of Elizabeth Smith of Providence, RI. Alison was also survived by her aunt, Anne Masse of Bristol, R.I., and aunt and Godmother, Donna Latondress of Burrillville, R.I., and uncle and godfather, William J. Maisano II of Bristol, R.I.
Visiting hours will be held in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Road, Oak Bluffs today, May 13, from 4 to 7 pm.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her funeral mass in St. Elizabeth’s Church, Main Street, Edgartown on Friday, May 14 at 11 am, officiated by Rev. Thomas Lopes. Burial will follow in the New Westside Cemetery, Robinson Road, Edgartown. Afterwards, a potluck reception will be held at the Ag Hall in West Tisbury. Please bring a dish.
