Tnisha Chandler and Charles Rutkowski of Oak Bluffs announce the birth of their daughter, Kaya Marie Rukowski, on May 4 at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. Kaya weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces.
Achievements
Dr. Constance Breese has received a grant from the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society to help local farms by providing free parasite testing for sheep, goats, pigs, and cows.
Sarah Ortlip-Sommers, an eighth-grader at the West Tisbury School, will play first violin with the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra’s Youth Ensemble at their annual concert at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis on May 14.
Benjamin Sweet of West Tisbury and New York City was named Best Screenwriter at the New York School of Visual Arts 2010 Dusty Film Festival Awards ceremony on May 6.
