Don McKillop — File photo by Ralph Stewart

Do you have a design formula for hanging art in your gallery?

Don McKillop, Dragonfly Gallery, Arts District, Oak Bluffs: Ours has the space and shape limitation. It takes a lot of creativity to hang in that kind of space. My shoulders get worn out from moving paintings until it works. We learned a lot from Holly [Alaimo].

Jeffrey Serusa, Seaworthy Gallery, Beach Road, Vineyard Haven: As opposed to mixing it up every week, we change it maybe twice during the season. Presentation is everything.
