In Summer League hockey action at the Arena, the White team led 2-0 only to be tied by the Golds, 2-2 in the first game. With 30 seconds left on the clock, Luc Woodard scored the game-winner for White.

Woodard was assisted by Jordy Abrams in his first goal and by Sam Burke in the second. Tyler Araujo and Tyson Araujo scored for the Gold, assisted by Shay Hill and Burke, tying the score.

Woodard’s winning goal, good for a hat trick, was aided and abetted by Brian Fraser and Court Wemyss.

The second game, Red vs. Black, was the kind of game that gives hockey a black eye. Four players were ejected.

In the first period, the Reds jumped off to a 3-0 lead on goals by Max Davies, Jack Rogers and Jamie Flanagan.

The Black team got on the board in the second period with goals by Charles Goldthwait and Steve Brighton. But the Reds kept pace with two more of their own, both by Scott Rogers.

There was only one goal scored in the third period, which raised the Red total to six.

Goalies were Caleb Hallett (Red) and Mike Sylvia (Black).
