Tuesday, at Tisbury’s Veterans War Memorial Park all the league teams were in action except the Shady Ladies.
In a contest between the teams atop the league standings, the same two teams that played last year for the league championship — the Creamers, trailing since the first inning, scored five runs in the top of the seventh to defeat the Honeys, 6-4.
Also Monday, the Late Fees came from behind, 7-1, to overtake the Snaps and win, 10-8.
In the third Monday game, the Phoenix were forced to forfeit to the Rug Sox when their first baseman suffered a dislocated elbow in the third inning and could not continue.
The Rug Sox take on the Snaps tonight at the West Tisbury school field.
The first round of playoffs begins this Tuesday, July 27.
Second and third rounds are Thursday, August 5 and Tuesday, August 17. The championship game with League cookout, will be on Thursday, August 19
