George Sydney Pease died unexpectedly in his Plymouth home on July 21. He was the beloved husband of Wendy (Leff) and proud father of Geoff and Randy. Born on May 6, 1954, to the late George Sr. and Genevieve (Rogers), he is survived by siblings Kimball, William, Lawrence, Carol, Nancy, Susan, and Polly Pease. His extended family of Judy, Ken, Matt, Larry and Heather Leff will also miss George immensely. He was a frequent visitor to Martha’s Vineyard.
Soon after his graduation from Eastern Connecticut State College in 1976, George devoted his entire existence to starting a beautiful family and fulfilling a professional career. Despite his individual achievements, he found peace in enhancing the lives of others. With a quick flip of a spatula, firm handshake, or big-belly laugh, George had an uncanny ability to make people feel good.
For that reason, he is survived by a vast network of family, friends, and coworkers that hold him in the highest regard. He will be so missed.
A celebratory service was held on Sunday, July 25, at Plymouth Memorial Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Plymouth Center for the Arts, P.O. Box 4077, Plymouth, MA 02361. For more info and memorial guestbook please visit www.cartmellfuneralhome.com.
