Twelve boats of the Holmes Hole Sailing Association reported to the starting line last Thursday for a 6:00 pm race from red nun 6 to green can 23a at East Chop, then to nun 4 at West Chop and back to red nun 6.
It was a warm evening with 10 knots of west wind.
The first leg was a broad reach on the port tack, then a beat to West Chop followed by a beam reach to the finish line.
First to complete the course was Bob Jewett in the Soling, Andiamo II. Mike Loberg in Masquerade was second followed by (3) Steve Besse in Apres, (4) Jerry Goodale in Stormalong, (5) Dan Culkin in Magic Time, (6) Mary Worrell and David Brown in Second Wind, (7) Bow Van Riper in Tyche, (8) Roger Becker in Gloria, (9) Mo Flam in Lumia, (10) Kathy Logue in Rocinante III, (11) David Lott in Avanti, and (12) John and Lisa Stout in Isabella.
Summer racing continues with Harbor races Sunday at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
