Some of the Vineyard’s best junior tennis players are jousting at Vineyard Youth Tennis every Wednesday evening to determine who is the top gun on the Island.
On July 14 Kent Leonard (VYT) defeated Justin Grossman (Chilmark) 6-3, 6-3.
Justice Yennie (VYT) beat Samantha Potter (VYT) 6-3,6-3.
Jock Cooperrider (VYT) bested Darst King (VYT) 6-1, 6-0.
Reid Yennie defeated Patrick Dunk (Chilmark) 6-2, 6-2.
On July 21 Kent Leonard (VYT) beat Patrick Dunk (Chilmark) 7-5, 6-0.
Jock Cooperrider defeated Justice Yennie (VYT) 7-6, 6-2.
Reid Yennie topped Darst King (VYT) 7-6, 6-1.
Patrick McCarthy (Chilmark) defeated Samantha Potter (VYT) 7-5, 6-0.
Spectators are welcome to watch, Wednesdays, beginning at 5 pm.
