Top Guns at VYT
Each Wednesday, beginning at 5:00 pm, matches between top juniors on the Island are played at Vineyard Youth Tennis adjacent to the “blinker.”
The public is welcome to watch.
On Wednesday, July 28, Kent Leonard of VYT defeated Justice Yennie of VYT, 6-3, 6-0.
Reid Yennie (VYT) beat Jock Cooperrider (VYT) 6-2, 6-1.
Justin Grossman (Chilmark) defeated Samantha Potter (VYT) 6-1, 6-1.
David King (VYT) beat Patrick Dunk (Chilmark) 6-3, 6-2.
Justice served
Kevin Cummings, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation (Bay State Summer and Winter Games) sent a letter of commendation to 13-year-old Justice Yennie of West Tisbury.

You have been selected as an athlete that has demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and exhibited a fair spirit of play by the coordinators and officials of your sport.
