Rod Backus of Vineyard Haven won the third annual Table Tennis Tournament at the Chappaquiddick Community Center, Saturday. He defeated Alina Wen in straight sets, 11-4, 11-5, 11-4.
Both of the finalists are members of the Martha’s Vineyard Table Tennis Club. Each won five matches in the 25-player competition.
The MVTT Club meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at the YMCA and welcomes all players regardless of their skill level.
