Girl’s soccer looks ready

The MV girl’s varsity soccer coach Aria Nevin is pleased and encouraged by what she has seen thus far as the girls have shown up for practice. “Their passes are sharper and quicker,” she said.

Most of the starting lineup is back, which bodes well for the team, and although the girls lost most of their games last fall, and the schedule is pretty much the same, Coach Nevin is optimistic about improving the team’s win/loss record.

The team’s first game was yesterday at D/Y. The next four games are at home: Saturday versus Plymouth North at 1:30. Things don’t get easier. The next two games are with Barnstable and Falmouth. Then Whitinsville Christian visits.

The first EAC league game is at Bishop Stang, Tuesday, September 21.
