Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School senior quarterback and defensive back Randall Jette was nominated to be an “Old Spice Player of the Year.”

The designation places Randall in the running to be one of a group of 50 players selected from around the country and honored in a full-page feature in a national print publication sponsored by Proctor and Gamble.

The program recognizes athletes who embody leadership, performance, desire, and serve as examples to their teammates on and off the field, according to a press release.

High school coaches across the country may name one athlete from their team as their player of the year. Each player receives a certificate to acknowledge the accomplishment.
