Last Wednesday, the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School varsity basketball teams defeated visiting Sandwich Blue Knights in no uncertain terms by a score of 61-39.
In the first quarter the MV boys raced to a 21-0 lead and ended with 22-point margin of victory as they took full advantage of a height differential.
The Blue Knights will try to reverse past results today as the Islanders invade Sandwich.
Saturday at Weymouth the Islanders lost 75-46. The Islanders were down by four at halftime but soon came unglued.

The girls’ varsity basketball team plays at Sandwich, 4 pm Thursday, Dec. 23. The boys’ varsity game follows, same place, at 5 pm.
